The Mal Gray Band features: Mal Gray on vocals; Pete Wingfield on piano and Hammond organ; Tom McGuinness on acoustic guitar, mandolin and electric guitar; Julia Rosa on vocals; Pete Thomas on tenor and baritone saxophones; Steve Dixon on drums; Toby Baron on drums; Marcus Cliffe on bass; John Gordon on bass; Gerraint Watkins on accordion; and Dave Briggs on acoustic guitar and electric lead guitar.
The Mal Gray Band first performed at the Hammersmith Appollo in 1976 with Fats Domino. Since then, the band has featured:

The Band, in one form or another, has toured with most of the giants of rock'n'roll, including Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bill Haley.
Mal Gray, born in Camberwell London was the original lead singer with the Wild Angels, recording 2 chart albums, Live at the Revolution and Red hot and Rockin’, in 1970 and 1971. He was guest vocalist with the American band Sha-na-na from 1971-1974 and band leader to Bill Haley from 1976 to 1981. The Mal Gray band was support to Fats Domino on 12 European tours. He was also lead vocalist and director of the very successful American Pie Rock ‘n’ Roll Theatre Show from 1991 to 2001.
Mal has worked with most of the major rock ‘n’ roll names including Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Haley, Fats Domino, Roy Orbison - and many country acts such as Johnny Cash, Marie Osmond, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, plus BB King from the Blues world, and Bruce Springsteen. Mal has co-written songs for Bill Haley, Fats Domino, Joe Sun, The Wild Angels and Albert West and Ben Wild.
Julia Galliers has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and has co-written with Mal since 1991. She has performed as a solo artist and as leader of The Angelettes in The American Pie Rock ‘n’ Roll Theatre Show (as Julia Rosa).
Dave Briggs has worked with Mal and Julia in the studio, playing theatre shows, European gigs and supporting Chuck Berry. He's backed up some of the original American pioneers of rock and roll including Sonny Burgess, DJ Fontana, Ray Campi, Sleepy La Beef, Narvel Felts. He has backed up Elvis Presley's original guitarist, the great Scotty Moore and recorded with him in Tennessee. Dave plays Gibson and Peerless guitars through Fender amplifiers.
John Gordon has also worked with Mal on several Bill Haley and Fats Domino tours and as a member of the American Pie Rock'n'Roll Theatre Show and the Comets, as well as playing with Wanda Jackson, Johnny Russell, Mike Berry and Joe Brown.
